Accenture || Application developer || Offer rejected

I recently interviewed for a Java, Spring Boot Application Developer role at Accenture. The interview consisted of a single round. The interviewer was 15 minutes late, but after speaking with HR, I rejoined the interview. The interview began with an introduction, followed by a discussion of my projects and contributions. The interviewer then asked several Java and Spring Boot-related theoretical questions, including:

• What is an entity class?
• What are the different ways to sort an array in Java, and when should you choose one over another?
• What is the difference between an interface and an abstract class? When should you choose one over another?
• What is the difference between HashMap and HashTable? When should you choose one over another?
• What is the difference between StringBuilder, StringBuffer, and a char array? When should you choose one over another?

The interviewer then moved on to coding questions:

• Write a program to print numbers from 1 to n using x number of threads.
• Write a program to print all duplicate characters present in a string.
• Write a program to print the number of unique strings present in a string array.
• Write a program to sort a student list based on marks.

The interviewer then asked a few scenario-based questions:

• How do you handle tasks in a team?
• How do you prioritize your work?

The interviewer also asked about SonarQube, its different types of issues, and how I fixed them.

The interview concluded without giving me a chance to ask questions, even though I was prepared. I received a selection confirmation from HR the next day, but they did not offer a competitive salary. They offered a 10% increase on my current fixed CTC and a 30% overall increase including variable pay. However, I rejected the offer because the hike was negligible and there was no location preference. Overall, the interview was straightforward, but it was a good experience to boost my confidence.
