Round 1: Hiring Manager (HM)

Question: The interview began with the HM asking behavioral questions and basic technical questions.

The recruiter reached out to me, and I had an interview with the hiring manager. The HM round was 30 minutes long, and I was asked behavioral questions and basic technical questions. Due to time constraints, only 20 minutes were left for the coding problem.

Here are the behavioral and technical questions I was asked:

• How do you expect your manager to support you?
• Tell me about some challenge in your work.
• SQL vs NoSQL.
• What is cache? General concept.
• What is load balancer? How do you use it?
• What is goroutine? Compared to thread, difference.
• Security related. HTTPS/SSL/TLS.
• What is synchronize? What is asynchronize? Difference and advantages.
• What is idempotence?

For the coding question, I had to solve a variant of LeetCode 2101. The only difference was that I needed to return the specific bomb instead of the length. The problem came with built-in test cases, but two of them were locked. I had 10 minutes to ask questions at the end.
