The phone screen lasted 45 minutes for the algorithm questions and 30 minutes for the AI conversation.

For the algorithm portion:

1. I was asked a medium difficulty question, LeetCode 139.
2. I was asked an easy question where I needed to validate if the user input is a valid palindrome within a React environment.

For the AI portion:

• The questions focused on my ability to use current generative AI tools and whether I could obtain the desired answers. I was asked how to prompt the AI and how to provide ideal responses. For example, what I would do if I only wanted a JSON as a response from a GPT API call.

The interviewer was friendly and said my approach to the algorithm questions and AI discussions was correct. The interviewer also told me what to expect in the next round (an AI assessment) and how to prepare.
