I just got a call from FB recruiter informing me that Meta has freezed the hiring process till at least . I read that news yesterday night. The stock market is not doing well and FB didn't perfrom well within last two qauters. My recruiter had a very positive tone regarding the feature and she was hopful that this freezing doesn't last that long but based on my personal experience, when a mass layoff is looming, the hiring freeze is its early sign. I am not even sure FB is a good choice anymore! What do you think?
Update: When I posted the above news, Meta said, Reality Lab hiring will resume without intrruptions. This morining I noticed that Reality Lab expects more changes and they will change the direction within a week! It means that at least no hiring for RL anymore.
