I had initial phone screen with Meta for E4 position and they asked two simple questions. I solved both in 22 mins.

1. variation of Random Pick with Weight (my question was to find random index of large elements in array)
2. Valid Word Abbreviation

I'm uncertain about the reasons for my rejection. Recruiter said she can't provide any specific feedback this time. However, my personal assessment of the situation is as follows:

I felt quite nervous during the interview, and my lack of confidence was apparent

Question 1

• In this question I used two for loop one was to find large element and then store their indexes in array. he asked me if I can use single for loop, then I did with single for loop also.
• In this question, the interviewer asked me to write test cases, but I struggled to create comprehensive test cases, including edge cases.

Question 2

• I solved this optimally and also write all test cases and he was satisfied with my approch.

After 2 days I received rejection email, I was thinking of onsite and preparing hard for system design, really broke me.
