Meta recruitment paused

Hi,

Interview scheduled for Oct 3 week with meta for a Software Engineer position.

Now the HR informed me that unfortunately, recruitment has been paused and they gave me 2 options.

1. Attend the interview on scheduled date, the feedback will be on system but they won't share the feedback with me. If there is opportunity then they will consider the feedback.
2. Cancel the Interview and wait for the opportunity to come.

Does anyone came across this situation and which one is best option? I am not sure which one to choose because of following reason. If i cancel then i can prepare well for the next opportunity. If i attend the interview on scheduled date and not performing well then I can't appear for the interview for next 12 months.

Please share the suggestions!
