Interview Feedback:
Result: Rejected
I recently completed a phone screen interview for a Software Engineer position at Meta. The interview consisted of two parts: a 20-minute behavioral section and a 40-minute coding section.
Coding Questions:
Overall, I felt confident in my coding abilities, completing both questions within the allotted time. However, I made a couple of minor mistakes and my solution may not have been optimally memory-efficient. I am unsure why I was rejected, as I believed my coding performance was satisfactory. The behavioral portion of the interview presented more of a challenge. I am curious if the emphasis on efficiency and other factors played a significant role in the decision.
