Meta | Rejected | Aim for E4 | London

I am sharing my interview experience at Meta in July. My work experience was 3-4 years. I did not receive feedback on my rejection, which was unexpected.

Interview Phase:

1. Technical Phone Screen: Hire

After passing the phone screen, I had four interviews in two days:

1. Coding Interview: Strong Hire (I considered the coding question to be of medium difficulty).
2. Coding Interview: Strong Hire (I considered the coding question to be of medium difficulty).
3. System Design: Either Lean Hire or Hire (It was a medium-hard system design question).
4. Behavioral: Either Lean Hire or Hire (Likely a Hire).

A month later, I received a rejection email. I had expected at least an E3/E4 offer. I am confident I performed well in the coding interviews and expected at least an E3 offer. Due to a signed NDA, I cannot disclose the questions.

I received information from a former Meta employee that E4 positions were filled early in the year and the company was primarily seeking E5 candidates. However, I know of someone who received an E3 offer.

Overall, I had a positive interview experience, but I would have appreciated feedback.
