I applied online through Microsoft's careers page. I applied for many job openings at Microsoft's careers page. I finally got a call from HR and an email for an online coding assessment.

2 DSA medium-level questions.

After a few days, the recruiter reached out for scheduling interviews. It was a hiring drive.

Round 1: DSA (1 hour) Started with an introduction, and two DSA questions were asked: Longest Substring Without Repeating Characters Generate Parentheses

I was able to write working code for both questions.

Round 2: LLD (1 hour) LLD for a cache system, with a configurable eviction strategy. I discussed my solution, including the classes, variables, and functions I would use. The interviewer seemed satisfied with my solution.

I received a call from the recruiter, who scheduled the third round on the same day, as feedback from the first two rounds was positive.

Round 3: HLD (1 hour) HLD for a meeting scheduler. We discussed various aspects. The interviewer kept asking about flaws and challenges in my design, and I was able to address most of them and provide convincing solutions. I felt this round did not go as well as the others, but it was acceptable.

I contacted the recruiter, and she said that the feedback was positive, and the hiring manager round would be scheduled the following week.

Round 4: Hiring Manager Round This round started with an introduction and a discussion of past projects and items listed on my resume. We had a detailed technical discussion about my current project. The interview was scheduled for one hour but concluded in half an hour.

After several calls, the recruiter informed me that I was rejected in the final round. I have asked her to share feedback multiple times, and she has said she will but hasn't yet.
