Microsoft Interview Experience
This is for an entry-level position in the Dev division (IC2 - level 60). I have 3 years of experience and a Master's degree. I graduated in May with a degree in Computer Science.
Round 1: Online assessment. I received two questions; the first was related to sorting—I came up with an optimal solution. The second was more complex—I gave an O(n^2) solution, but an O(n log n) solution is possible.
Virtual Interview: There were four back-to-back 45-minute rounds.
All four rounds included some behavioral questions at the start and coding questions at the end.
Some of the questions:
There were no system design or low-level design questions. All four rounds followed a similar format.
I would say the bar for Microsoft's entry-level position is low. I was fortunate that my interview was successful.
