I had a negative experience interviewing at Nvidia for a Senior System Software Engineer position. The interviewer seemed to focus heavily on low-level details, even asking about how pointers are implemented in assembly language. This was unexpected, as I had experience developing features at the application layer. I felt the interview was overly focused on theoretical concepts and did not align with my experience. The interview ended after 45 minutes, and I chose to cancel the second round. I would recommend that anyone interviewing at Nvidia for a similar role be prepared for in-depth technical questions, even at a high level.
