I interviewed for a SWE Intern position at PayPal in . The interview process was virtual and consisted of three rounds.
The first round was an online test on Hackerrank. It included five multiple-choice questions and one coding question. The technical questions were from Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP). The coding question was a Leetcode Hard problem titled "Kth Permutation Sequence (With arrays)". I was given 40 minutes to complete the test.
The second round was a technical interview, also conducted virtually on Hackerrank. It started with introductions, followed by some basic technical questions. I was then asked to code a solution to the Leetcode Hard problem "Kth Permutation Sequence (With arrays)". I explained my approach, covered edge cases, and coded with comments. The interviewer was satisfied with my solution.
The third round was an HR interview, conducted virtually. It focused on my projects, my team contributions, and my ability to prioritize and analyze situations. I was also asked some questions about the company.
The interviewers were friendly and kind. I enjoyed the interview process. I received the result after 20 days and was selected for the SWE Summer Internship . The internship is 12 weeks long and will be located in Chennai or .
