I applied for the AMTS role at Salesforce through a referral from a Salesforce employee. I was invited to take an Online Assessment (OA) on HackerRank. The OA consisted of three coding questions, similar to those found on platforms like LeetCode. The questions ranged from easy to medium difficulty, focusing on topics like dynamic programming. One of the questions resembled the "Word Break" problem, testing my ability to break down strings into valid words efficiently. I was able to solve the first two questions, which were medium-level challenges, passing all test cases. However, I struggled with the third question, a hard graph problem, and couldn't pass two hidden test cases before submitting the assessment. After completing the OA, I waited for a response from Salesforce for about three weeks but didn't receive any communication during that time. Overall, the OA experience was straightforward, with questions reflecting real-world coding scenarios. While I faced some challenges, it was an opportunity to test my skills and learn from the experience.
