I interviewed for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud team for the SMTS position. The interview process consisted of three rounds. The first round focused on data structures, including a binary search and a tree question. The second round was related to the Factory design pattern. The third round was a hiring manager round, where I was surprised to find that no high-level design questions were asked. Instead, the interviewer focused on behavioral questions. I was not prepared for this shift in focus and felt that the interview went poorly. Ultimately, I was rejected due to a lack of technical knowledge, despite performing well in the first two rounds. The HR representative indicated that the rejection was based on the final round, where no high-level design questions were asked. I found the interviewers in the Marketing Cloud team to be below average in terms of technical expertise. I will be joining Media.net and will share my experience soon.
