I interviewed for software engineering internships at several companies, including Tesla, Salesforce, Amazon, Interactive Brokers, Intuit, Wayfair, Coinbase, and Postmates. I received offers from Tesla, Salesforce, Amazon, and Interactive Brokers.
My Tesla interview process consisted of two rounds after an online assessment. The first interview was with the hiring manager on Codility, where I was asked to debug a graph question written in C++. The second interview was simpler, involving a breadth-first search traversal of a graph. I received a verbal offer the next day but declined it because I had already received an offer from Amazon.
My Salesforce interview process also consisted of two rounds after an online assessment. The first round was a behavioral interview with the hiring manager, and the second round was a technical interview where I was asked two LeetCode questions: serialize and deserialize a tree, and build a tree from given inorder and preorder traversals. I was also asked questions about Java programming, Kubernetes, Docker, Spring Boot, and relational and non-relational databases. I received a verbal offer from Salesforce a few days after the interview.
My Amazon interview process involved three online assessments and one interview. The online assessments covered debugging, coding, and work simulation. The interview included leadership questions and a technical question that involved designing a system using object-oriented principles. I was initially placed on a waitlist but later received an offer for a fall internship.
I also interviewed at Intuit, Wayfair, Coinbase, and Postmates. I was rejected by Intuit and Wayfair after the final interview rounds. I was rejected by Coinbase after the second interview round due to technical issues during the interview. The Postmates position was canceled before I could complete the interview process.
Overall, I found the interview process to be challenging but rewarding. I learned a lot from the experience and am grateful for the opportunities I had. I am excited to start my internship at Salesforce this summer and my internship at Amazon this fall.
