I had 3 rounds of interviews for a Software Engineer III position at Walmart.
Round 1 (DSA) - I was asked 6 standard data structures and algorithms questions and had to code all. I don't remember all exactly but a few were lowest common ancestor, one standard stack-based question, find the index from the string to remove to make the string palindrome, right view, and a few more.
Round 2 (Java and LLD) - This round was mainly Java and Spring Boot related questions. In Java, I was asked about exceptions, custom exceptions, was given a small problem to solve in Java, autowired, scope, the difference between put and patch, and the difference between REST APIs and web sockets.
Round 3 (HM) - I had expected one high-level design problem but the interviewer asked me about my background and my project, then a few more situational-based questions. The interviewer then asked if I had worked on microservices and Kafka. I said no. She asked if I had worked on the cloud, I said I haven't had the chance to work on the cloud yet but am willing to work on these technologies. She asked one or two more questions and ended the discussion.
Feedback - I was rejected. HR mentioned that the hiring manager rejected me because I didn't have experience with microservices and Kafka.
