Interview Process:

Round 1:

1. Find max and min in a bitonic sequence.
2. Implement a playlist which plays a random song from a list of 50 songs, but it shouldn't play one of the last 10 songs. If the song is present in the last 10 songs, get another random song.

Round 2:

1. Design a data structure that supports insert, delete, search and getRandom in constant time.
2. When to use SQL and when to use NOSQL DB?
3. How to scale an application?
4. How to make an application resilient? (Circuit breaking, Rate limiting etc)
5. Asked me to explain what was the recent Log4j vulnerability?
6. Metrics and Visualization in Kibana/Grafana related questions.
7. Random questions on deployment and kubernetes.

The Round 2 did not go well as the interviewer was distracted most of the time.

Few days later, HR called me and informed that the Hiring Manager wants to give me another shot. Round 3: LLD of Library Management System. (Used Command Design Pattern here.) Choice of DB. Project related questions and any design patterns used in my recent experiences. Difference between @Component and @Service annotation. Can we instantiate Bean in a static method?

Round 4: HM Round Current Project discussion. Further questions: Docker compose and related questions, spring cache, aspects. Why looking for a switch? etc.

Round 5: HR How can you contribute to Walmart's growth for the next 5 years? Typical HR Questions. Compensation discussion/ negotiation.
