I interviewed at Walmart for the position of Software Engineer III in .

Round 1: This round focused on Data Structures and Algorithms. There were two questions:

• A bank accepts any number of coins and returns three coins for one coin. The formula for the exchange is as follows: If you give them a coin worth Rs N, they will return you three coins worth (N/2, N/3, N/4) values. For example, if N = 100, you will get back three coins worth 50, 33, and 25, totaling Rs 108. Given N, calculate the maximum amount of money you can make by exchanging the coins recursively.
• Given two numbers, represent the fraction of the two numbers in string format.

Round 2: This round focused on Java. The questions included:

• Print odd/even numbers in multiple threads (one by one).
• ThreadPoolExecutor Implementation.
• Working of HashMap, HashSet.
• Some theory questions related to Exceptions/Collections/Annotations.
• GC Working, Heap Memory Analyze.

Round 3: This was the Hiring Manager round. The interviewer focused on the type of work I am currently doing in my organization and what type of work I enjoy doing. He also discussed the work Walmart does. He asked some design pattern questions in Java (Singleton, Factory, etc.).

Overall, the interview experience was good. The interviewers were polite and helpful, and they were very active during the interview. The entire interview process took around 15 days.
