The interview process for Walmart Global Tech SSE position consisted of two stages. The first stage was an initial phone screen with technical questions. The second stage was an onsite interview with five rounds. The interview coordinator did not provide an agenda for each interview round. The first round focused on Java concepts and input/output from an example. The second round was with Pei Wang, who was the interviewer. The interview was conducted virtually, and Pei Wang turned off her camera after asking about my background. She asked me to write a Singleton class. After I finished writing the code, there was a five-minute silence. I asked her three times if this was what she was looking for. She then asked me to Google what the Singleton pattern is. I googled it, and it matched what I had written. We then moved on to writing a Factory Pattern. I wrote the code perfectly fine while explaining it. There was another five-minute silence. She asked me to Google it again. Then she asked me to write test cases. After writing the test case, she remained silent for another ten minutes. After she came back, she told me time was up. I found this interview to be a waste of time. I did not continue the interview process.
