I have over five years of experience as a software engineer. I received a call from the ZoomInfo Chennai office for an interview. The interview process consisted of three technical rounds. The questions asked were very basic and could have been answered by someone with one year of experience. For the fourth round, I was given an assignment that would have taken 18-24 hours to complete. The assignment resembled regular company tasks. I quickly realized that ZoomInfo was trying to get company work done under the guise of an interview. I rejected the offer. I believe that a 24-hour assignment is too much to ask for during an interview. Candidates should never agree to such tasks.
